Yes, the black hook should be fixed and should not move. It won’t hurt if they don’t quite get stuck, but then the door rattles more, and they can come loose.

The Deurklinkhaak may occasionally leave a mark on the door handle, depending on the handle’s material. To fix this, clean both the door handle and the Deurklinkhaak with a cloth and white spirit, then rinse with water. This usually resolves the issue. Still have questions? Drill holes must be at least 45 mm deep. To check, insert the screw into the hole without the plate. The screw should disappear completely up to its head. Then press the plug fully into the hole.

Yes. When mounting into wood, we strongly recommend pre-drilling the holes first. This prevents the wood from splitting and reduces the risk of the screw breaking. The correct drill bit diameter depends on the hardness of the wood.
